The Evening Medical Update (EMU) on Tuesday 28 January 2020 will cover ‘Jaundice’ (see Programme for further details) and will run from 6.30 pm to approximately 8.15 pm.

The Evening Medical Updates programme covers the ‘Top Medical Presentations’ and ‘Emergency Presentations’ as defined in the GIM training curriculum. We also have two non-clinical evening updates, to include topics such as medical ethics, law and career resilience in medicine. Topics are covered in monthly updates between September and June of each academic year.

Each EMU consists of three or four 30-minute presentations. The programme allows time for discussion and questions with contributions from all centres.

Although aimed particularly at core trainees, Evening Medical Updates are open to all hospital doctors, GPs, other healthcare professionals, and medical students. They are free of charge to all.

Updates are held at the College in Edinburgh but streamed live to a number of other centres around the UK and further afield (see Live Links for the current list of venues).

To attend at any site, please book online.
Please note: If you attend the Evening Medical Updates at one of our live-link sites we will share limited details about you with the venue.

If you are unable to attend at the College or a streaming site, a limited number of places are available to access the event by individual streaming. Please contact the Education Assistant, Kate Hollier at K.Hollier@rcpe.ac.uk
